Exit Calc

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 February 2026

1. Who we are

Exit Calc (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website exit-calc.com. We are the data controller responsible for your personal data. If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at privacy@exit-calc.com.

2. What data we collect

When you use our calculator, we may collect:

Data you provide directly: your email address, industry sector, annual revenue, EBITDA, revenue growth profile, ownership percentage, and equity rollover preferences.

Data collected automatically: we use Vercel Analytics, which is a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service. It collects anonymised usage data including page views, referral sources, country, and device type. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

3. How we use your data

We use the data you provide to:

Generate your personalised PE exit model and valuation estimate; send you information relevant to your business exit, if you have opted in; improve our calculator and develop new features; and understand how our tool is being used in aggregate.

Our lawful basis for processing your data under UK GDPR is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) — we have a legitimate interest in providing you with the exit modelling service you requested and in improving our tool. For any marketing communications, we rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)).

4. How we store your data

Your data is stored securely using Airtable (a cloud-based database service) and processed through Vercel (our hosting provider). Both services maintain appropriate technical and organisational security measures. Data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where both Airtable and Vercel are based, under appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses.

We retain your data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, or until you request its deletion.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your data with the following categories of service providers who process data on our behalf: our hosting provider (Vercel), our database provider (Airtable), and our email service provider (if applicable). All service providers are bound by data processing agreements and may only process your data on our instructions.

6. Cookies

Exit Calc does not use cookies for tracking or advertising purposes. Our analytics provider (Vercel Analytics) is cookieless and does not use cookies, local storage, or any other client-side storage mechanisms. No cookie consent is therefore required for analytics. If we introduce cookies in the future, we will update this policy and provide appropriate consent mechanisms.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you; rectify inaccurate personal data; erase your personal data (“right to be forgotten”); restrict processing of your personal data; data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format); object to processing based on legitimate interest; and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@exit-calc.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

8. Children

Our service is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “last updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
